A+J Art+Design is a multidisciplinary collaboration between Mad Oyster artists Ann Hirsch and Jeremy Angier. As a public art design and development team, we share a commitment to site-specificity, interactivity and community engagement. We believe that public art can provoke and entice while inspiring civic engagement. We offer capabilities in traditional object making and digital visualization and prototyping.
SOS (Safety Orange Swimmers), commissioned by the Fort Point Arts Community, floated in the Fort Point Channel Art Basin in Boston from October to December 2016 and provoked conversation on the history of immigrants in Boston as well as the current global refugee crisis.
